Last week, people saw the 7% spike in the S&P 500 and called it a relief rally. Markets breathed. Volatility cooled off for a moment. But what actually happened wasn’t just a response to Trump’s sudden 90-day tariff pause. It was a pressure release after days

Let’s talk markets. Specifically, let’s talk about what just went down (literally) in the Nasdaq this week. If you’ve been paying attention—or maybe even if you haven’t—it’s gotten pretty ugly pretty fast. I even tweeted something about it: Markets take the stairs up

The drop happened fast! If you blinked sometime in February, you might’ve missed that we were at new all-time highs. Now? We're in full correction territory. Just yesterday, the S&P 500 fell more 2%, and now close to 10% in less than a month. Not

Did you know that 56% of Wisconsin’s agricultural exports could be impacted by tariffs from Canada, Mexico, and China? Wisconsin now represents the 11th largest exporter of agricultural products in the U.S., up from 13th in 2023 (WI DATCP). In 2024, Wisconsin’s agricultural exports reached $3.97

Why would a tech giant like Meta invest in a company known for sunglasses and streetwear? When was the last time you saw a tech nerd care about fashion? Well, Meta just did.
Meta is in talks to acquire a 5% stake in the Ray-Ban maker, EssilorLuxottica, a move valued at around $5 billion. This isn't their first rodeo; Meta and EssilorLuxottica have an ongoing partnership to create our Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses.
Suprisingly, what caught me off-guard is that EssilorLuxottica (just two days ago) acquired Supreme for $1.5 billion. So in a way, Meta is indirectly investing in Supreme. Weird, right?
Never in a million years did I expect tech geeks to team up with kids that camp outside stores for days just to snag a hoodie (or a brick). Supreme, with its strong brand appeal for Gen Z and millennials, could be a good target audience for Meta.

The synergies for Meta, EssilorLuxottica, and Supreme are promising. Integrating fashion ethos with Meta’s tech could create smart eyewear that appeals to younger consumers.
This collab creates eyewear that blends fashion with technology. And with Meta’s exposure to Supreme, (if they wanted to) they could tap into premium eyewear down the road.
The market for smart glasses is going to grow a lot, too, with revenue projections showing a significant increase over the next few years 👇

Smart glasses are a crucial piece of Meta’s vision for the metaverse. We're gradually integrating technology into our lifestyle. We already have headphones (work with the ears), haptic feedback on our phones (works with touch), and VR headsets (work with the eyes). I wouldn't be surprised to see a future where we blend our lives with more tech, for convenience.
How do you think Meta’s investment will affect smart eyewear and fashion-tech?
