Last week, people saw the 7% spike in the S&P 500 and called it a relief rally. Markets breathed. Volatility cooled off for a moment. But what actually happened wasn’t just a response to Trump’s sudden 90-day tariff pause. It was a pressure release after days

Let’s talk markets. Specifically, let’s talk about what just went down (literally) in the Nasdaq this week. If you’ve been paying attention—or maybe even if you haven’t—it’s gotten pretty ugly pretty fast. I even tweeted something about it: Markets take the stairs up

The drop happened fast! If you blinked sometime in February, you might’ve missed that we were at new all-time highs. Now? We're in full correction territory. Just yesterday, the S&P 500 fell more 2%, and now close to 10% in less than a month. Not

Did you know that 56% of Wisconsin’s agricultural exports could be impacted by tariffs from Canada, Mexico, and China? Wisconsin now represents the 11th largest exporter of agricultural products in the U.S., up from 13th in 2023 (WI DATCP). In 2024, Wisconsin’s agricultural exports reached $3.97

You ever think Netflix would go beyond your living room and into a theme park? Well, that’s happening. Netflix is challenging Disney’s long-held throne with their real-world experience, calling it 'Netflix House'.
From Streaming to Theme Parks
This isn't just about streaming anymore; Netflix is coming for Disneyland. Rather than planning a family trip to Disneyland next year, you might be planning an adventure to Netflix House instead.
Opening in 2025 at Dallas, Texas, and Pennsylvania, Netflix House will cover over 100,000 square feet of space in former department store locations within these malls.
These venues will offer immersive experiences, themed dining, and retail based on Netflix's shows and films.
A New Revenue Stream
Unlike Disneyland, there won’t be rides inside Netflix House, but there will be immersive show-themed experiences and shopping opportunities.
Netflix’s Chief Marketing Officer, Marian Lee, said in a press release “At Netflix House, you can enjoy regularly updated immersive experiences, indulge in retail therapy, and get a taste—literally—of your favorite Netflix series and films through unique food and drink offerings.”
Sounds pretty bougie to me— also like there's a lot of money to be made.
The Strategy Behind the Locations
Netflix selected Dallas and Pennsylvania for their popularity and high foot traffic. The choice to open in malls is strategic, especially as shopping centers struggle to compete with online retailers nowadays.
Analytics firm Flame Analytics notes that many shopping centers are focusing on creating memorable experiences to increase foot traffic.
Imagine waltzing on a replica of the Bridgerton set or competing in the Glass Bridge challenge from Squid Game. These attractions promise to be more than just theme parks; they are immersive worlds.
The themed dining and retail spaces further enhance the visitor experience, potentially driving high engagement and repeat business.
For investors, Netflix House is a bold move to diversify revenue streams and build it's moat.
The key question is if 'Netflix House' can become a success story; one that competes with Disney's theme parks.
